About Us

Zerosoftware is your Shopware 6 agency from Steinhude at the Steinhuder Meer. We develop e-commerce solutions and automate your business processes.

Our Story – Since 1991

Zerosoftware GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1991 as Zerosoftware GbR in Neustadt am Rübenberge near Hanover, Germany, by Raphael Lubbers and Torsten Urban. Based on database systems such as ADAD/9, Clipper, and Visual Objects, we developed comprehensive custom solutions for logistics, controlling, and production planning in the following years.

In mid-2003, Bertrand Salzwedel joined the company in Windows and database development. In 2004, due to technological progress, we realigned our development to the .NET Framework and SQL databases.

2006 marked a turning point: With Björn Teßmann joining the team, we opened our Web Development division – focusing on websites and especially online shops. We consistently rely on open-source software and modern frameworks. Co-founder Torsten Urban left the company to work as a tax consultant and remains connected with us in this capacity to this day.

From 2007, the company was based in Isernhagen near Hanover. In addition to the three partners Raphael Lubbers, Bertrand Salzwedel, and Björn Teßmann, we employed several permanent and freelance staff in accounting, hardware virtualization, development, and support.

In 2014, we moved to Wunstorf in the Hanover region. Since July 2015, business has been conducted as Zerosoftware GmbH & Co. KG.

In autumn 2021, we transformed into a fully virtual company. All employees work flexibly from any location – whether home office, partner companies, co-working spaces, or on-site with clients. Regular in-person meetings and virtual conferences replace daily office contact. For meetings, we use partner facilities or come directly to you.
