E-Commerce Automation
We automate recurring processes between shop, ERP, marketplaces, CRM and accounting with n8n, Make, Zapier or Xentral Connect. For mid-sized retailers and manufacturers whose teams still transfer orders, stock and product data by hand. Afterwards these processes run without manual intermediate steps, with error handling and monitoring.
Significantly less manual work
Processes run nights and weekends too
Fewer errors from manual entry
Processes We Automate
Any process that runs regularly in the same pattern is a candidate.
Order Processing
Automatic order handling, invoice generation, and shipping processing.
Returns Management
Automated return handling, refunds, and restocking of goods.
Customer Support
Ticket routing, automatic responses to common questions, and escalation for complaints.
Inventory Management
Automatic stock alerts, reordering, and inventory support.
Marketplaces
Product listings, order import, and stock sync for Amazon, eBay, and more.
Omnichannel
Unified data for online shop, marketplaces, POS, and social commerce.

Connect Systems Directly – Even Without an Online Shop
We also connect systems unrelated to the shop, wherever an event in system A should trigger an action in system B.
Automatically sync customer data from your ERP with HubSpot. Keep new customers, revenue, and order history up to date in your CRM.
Hand TikTok Shop orders over to your ERP via our connector. Sync stock levels, transmit tracking numbers.
Automatically create tickets from website inquiries, categorize them, and assign them to the right team.
Distribute product data from your PIM directly to Amazon, eBay, Otto, and other platforms.
Preparing and enriching data
Workflows do more than move data from A to B. They merge sources, fill in missing details and adapt formats – following rules you define.
Merge
Images from PIM, texts from suppliers, prices from ERP – all combined into one product.
Enrich
Add missing data, improve quality, supplement information from external sources.
Transform
Convert formats, map fields, apply price factors, convert units.
Optimize
Adapt data for each channel – different formats for Amazon, eBay, or your own shop.
Triggers & Data Sources for Your Workflows
Automation with AI support
Classic automation follows fixed rules. With an AI model inside the workflow, unstructured input such as emails, reviews or free text can be processed as well.
- Intelligent Classification: Support tickets, product categories, customer segments
- Content Generation: Product descriptions, emails, social media posts
- Data Analysis: Recognize trends, detect anomalies, create forecasts
Combining AI with automation
n8n/Make workflows combined with AI models, for example:
Email arrives → AI analyzes content → Automatic categorization & response
New product → AI generates description → Automatically to shop & marketplaces
Review arrives → AI analyzes sentiment → Automatic escalation for criticism

Frequently Asked Questions About E-Commerce Automation
Which automation tool fits my company: n8n, Make or Zapier?
It depends on your requirements. n8n runs self-hosted on your own server and is the first choice when data protection requirements are strict. Make suits complex, visually built multi-step scenarios. Zapier offers the widest app selection and quick setup. We advise independently on which tool fits your processes.
Can n8n be used in a GDPR-compliant way?
Yes. n8n can be self-hosted on a server in Germany. Your data never leaves your own infrastructure – unlike cloud services that process data in the US. This makes n8n particularly suitable for companies handling sensitive customer or order data.
Which e-commerce processes can be automated?
Typical candidates are order processing, stock alerts, payment reconciliation with your payment providers, handing invoices over to accounting, multi-channel synchronization with Amazon, eBay and Otto, and marketing triggers in Klaviyo or Mailchimp. Rule of thumb: anything that runs regularly in the same pattern can be automated.
What happens if a workflow fails?
Professional workflows include error handling: automatic retries, notifications on failure and fallback routines. We set up monitoring so that failures are noticed immediately and no order is lost.
What determines how long it takes to introduce an automation?
The number of systems involved, the quality of their interfaces and how many special cases the process has. A single workflow such as an order notification goes live much faster than a scenario with ERP connection, data preparation and several target systems. Testing and documentation are part of every project.
What happens to existing workflows when a connected system changes?
Interfaces change, for example with shop updates or new API versions. We document every workflow with its dependencies and check whether adjustments are needed when something changes. On request, we take over ongoing maintenance.
